Professional Staff
Diane Kaluszyk, R.N. obtained her Bachelor of Arts
degree in English from Heidelberg College. In 1983,
Diane received her RN Diploma from Fairview General
Hospital School of Nursing and began working at Cleveland
Metropolitan General Hospital on the general medical
floor and in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit until
1987. In 1987, Diane joined Jacobson, Maynard, Tuschman & Kalur
Co., LPA as a Nurse Consultant providing support for
trial attorneys specializing in medical malpractice
defense. Diane and Kevin Norchi have worked together
in various capacities since that time on behalf of
physicians and hospitals.
Elizabeth A. Aini, R.N. received her Bachelor of Science
degree in Nursing from Ursuline College and a Post
Degree Certificate as a legal nurse consultant from
Cuyahoga Community College. In 1986, Beth became a
clinical nurse in Adult Bone Marrow Transplant, Transplant
Surgery, and in the Adult Medical-Surgical departments
at University Hospitals of Cleveland. In 2000, Beth
began her work as a Nurse Consultant to attorneys specializing
in the defense of medical malpractice cases.
Heidi Lanesky received her Bachelor of Arts degree
in Political Science from John Carroll University and,
in 1993, became a certified paralegal. Heidi joined
the firm in January, 2003. She has experience in real
estate and contract litigation, estate planning, probate/trust
administration, commercial litigation, township law
and has considerable experience in general insurance
matters. Since 1998, Heidi has assisted primarily in
the defense of professional liability claims, insurance
and employment-related litigation.
Marla Simon joined the firm in March, 2003 and brings
with her experience in corporate and commercial litigation
from her previous employment with TRW. Marla is a graduate
of the Cuyahoga Community College Paralegal Studies
Program. Between 1988 and 2000, Marla was a paralegal
in private law firms with a focus on real estate transactions,
and has since developed paralegal skills in complex
civil litigation.
Lorna Short has been the legal assistant to Kevin
Norchi since July 1994 managing a full docket of complex
civil litigation matters and assisting clients in the
navigation of these matters. Lorna’s knowledge
of the legal process and her ability to communicate
and work with clients and witnesses compliments an
exceptional legal support staff.
